Grats House Sole

Post by Smackey »

Since the patch is coming out tomorrow, I figured now would be a good time to toot our own horn a bit. In typical House Sole fashion, we waited until the very last minute to accomplish some pretty awesome stuff.

Raid 1 managed to finish off Heroic Will of the Emperor on Sunday night, one of the very last raid nights possible. Through tough work scheduled and several replacements, they managed to earn a pretty nice title and moved us up to #3 overall on the server; solidifying our place as the #1 Alliance guild here.

After getting to a bit of a late start, Raid 2 managed to finally clear all Normal modes, getting Sha last week and Empress on one of our last attempts of the night this past Thursday. We even had Mad spec Disc for the first time since BC to finally get her done. Special thanks to everyone who stepped up over the past couple weeks to help up get this finished (particularly Eskarina, Takeit, Greanie and Dram)

Raid 3 started off even later than we did, going through a few personnel changes to finally get a solid raid group going. They managed to get through all of MSV and progress into both HoF and ToES before this final week of raids. I'm sure you guys will keep it going through Throne of Thunder and give the rest of us a run for our money.

We also picked up a bunch of key peeps as of late, with some solid new apps and all the folks from DL. Welcome aboard guys and girls, we're glad to have you all here. I believe Ace is getting a 4th raid group together, so be on the lookout for another solid raid.

That's not to mention the various personal achievements, awesome Battle Pet teams and various rare mount acquisitions accrued by both raiders and casual guild members alike. Looking forward to another great Patch for House Sole.

Thank you Smackey and I also want to give my congrats to the guild too.
Anyone who took a screenshot of the Heroic Will night should post it, I realized I accidently cut Amarashi out of my screenshots, also hope we can get Norl's video up here too!
Going into the Throne of Thunder I want 1 thing to happen, I want raid 1's biggest competition (Alliance-side) to be raid 2, we had some slow starts and more than a few hiccups and look where we are. Depending on how much we focus on it, I think we can get Glory of the Raiding for the first tier done in a little more than a few weeks after clearing normal-mode Throne of Thunder.
I'm proud to be in House Sole and am proud of every raid. Though I still think we should name our raids, raid 1, 2, 3 is very boring. A guild I was in during Burning Crusade, and Greanie may remember this too, named our raids after ingame weapon enchants, the Minor Beast Slayers, Raid Mongoose, Executioners, etc.

Now, lets go kill some Dinomancers!

So I was gonna type one of these up- but Smackey said it better then I would've.

To everyone who tagged along, thanks for helping us out.

To R3, thanks for letting us snag Conf, apologies again for taking him, but I do thank you for letting us grab him.

O- if you can main your lock now, I'd appreciate it.

To those of you who stick with me and my hectic schedules in R1, I appreciate your patience and understanding with it. Prediter if you are reading this, I hope all is well since you are MIA.
Best of luck to all raiders this content patch.

As a general theme - I also want to say a word of congrats to everyone. It is always a challenge regrouping after a long break (aka. the summer of D3). As with any xpac, we shoot out of the gate with 10-12 people ready to go week one and the rest of us tag along and catch up a month or so later. With the 2nd content patch, where all groups hit the ground running - I expect as Fiddle pointed out to be gunning for top alliance and have the top 2-3 raid groups server-side.

Its easy to admit now that Azgalor is struggling and I commend everyone for hanging on through the death of a server, maybe one of these days Blizz will actually merge some of these low-pops or even kill some off to reinvent a real economy and player base to recruit from. All things considered we are do a great job and you all continue to impress me with your diligence, your attitude, and bringing an escape for me a handful *ahem hours each week.

On the horizon, I want to introduce you all to a new Azgalor cross-guild initiative of about 5 alliance guilds...I was approached and endorse a couple of channels that let you get out of general and trade chats to communicae with members of a few guilds that are committed to making Azgalor work as an alliance. Feel free to /join azgalorPVP and /join AzgalorRAID. Use these for LFG for 5s, 10s, LFRS and pug recruiting and for RBG. 2s. 3s. etc... Myself with other guild GMs felt it might be helpful to build a quazi-community of serious players to draw from...I see this as a positive and can't hurt to open these lines of communication, using these channels instead of the general PUG population...at least there will be familiar names and hopefully like minded players...

I made Smackey's post front-page, becasue well, I thought it deserved to be there...may there be sparkling purples in your future...

O

As a few of you might know I wasn't sure I was going to return this expansion, in fact part of me still isn't sure :)

The reason I returned had ZERO to do with the game and EVERYTHING to do with the people. This guild has always been like a family since the first day I dye my NWN toon with Black and Green(Still waiting for Dyes Blizz!! GET ON IT!). With any family we don't always get along at times, in fact I have caused it more often then I am willing to admit to myself. However, at the end of the day, I spend my e-life with you nut jobs. I can't explain why this whole thing happened, but somehow in all the chaos some of you have become very good friends to me...

It was an early spring morning in Loftenwood, much like any other day the town had seen so many times before. For some however the day was a little sweeter since the rains had coming early this season. The farmers wear tending to their crops in the fields outside of town. The fishermen were fresh back into town with their first catch of the season from the ponds and rivers to the south.

The lonely warrior that lived in the caves on the outskirts, sat under his willow tree still dripping from the fresh dew of the day. Thinking to himself as he often does about what was and what will be. As he gazed down on his bustling and prospering hamlet he realized that he could have never foretold of such a bounty. It wasn't the crops or the fish that gathered them here to Loftenwood it was always about something more; intangible and unspoken. It's never a simple thing that brings men together, it's always the mosaic canvas that draws and brushes our intertwined lives as one.

This place was more than a simple village of people, it always had been, and it always would be.
