I know it's been a while since I've last posted anything of significance. But since Canada Post pulled a UPS on me (knock very lightly on the door, ignore doorbell), I won't have my Diablo 3 CE until tomorrow. Meaning I have all night to do shit.
First things first. Nobody's asked for it, but I'll throw it out there anyways. If you want to change your forum name, send me a PM with your desired name. I will update it when I have a chance tonight. You will be prompted to login to the forums again, but that's just to set the new cookie.
Secondly, I'm going to re-organize the forums tonight. Tomorrow, things will be much more condensed but better organized (I hope!).
What's going away?
Any section that hasn't been touched since December 31, 2011.
This means the following sections will be disapearing:
* Auction House
* General Archives
* Webstats
* Roles (was a stupid idea in the first place)
* Possibly class-specific section
* All of "Not Quite WOW" (some exceptions apply)
* BC and Cataclysm archives
What's changing?
* General section is being condensed to: News, Applications, Taverns, Lore (because fuck RP, amirite?)
* The "Raiding" section is being changed to "WOW" - PvP, UI, AH, DKP, Signups, Roles (maybe)
* "Not Quite WOW" is changing to "Everything Else" - Diablo 3 (with subs), SWTOR (anyone still playing?), Starcraft, Other
No posts are being deleted, they're simply being moved and hidden so that only the chosen ones (me and Orion, basically) can see them.
In the somewhat near future, there are plans to...
* Fix the wowhead tooltips
* New themes/templates (MoP-based, HS Classic)
* Other new and exciting things
These have been put to the back-burner due to my fucked up schedule (5pm to 1am, wot) and not having free time while at work to tinker. If there's anything you guys want to see updated, improved, fixed, let me know.

I haven't been in many legit guilds. I started on Detheroc Horde and was in a few guilds that fell apart however my main guild was the Crimson Blades. I have just recently moved to Azgalor inorder to play with some RL friends and Detheroc was very dead. I was in Jentry Fan Club but moved to Oblivious. I left because I was looking for a more active guild with a few more players.
I dont know anyone in House Sole. I have been looking around for guilds on Azgalor and saw that this guild was ranked 7th on the server. I did a /who and found Blayd who I asked a few questions about the guild and he was kind enough to answer. From what I heard I decided to apply and it seemed like a good guild to try to join.
I want to join mainly because I have heard great things about the guild and I would like a guild that is active with a strong core group.
My name is Liam I have been playing wow for about 2 years now. I am 18 and still going to school which consumes most of my time however I like to play WoW to relax. I have no STDs so no interesting storys there. I like to go climbing and play frisbee. I use to play a lot of xbox but not as much recently.

I love raiding, 6/8 on DS im on spine while filling this application out >.< working on being able to do DS heroics. And want to get some cool transmog gear.Not looking for a spot or anythning just a good guild ya know.
I use DBM, recount, atlasloot, thats it i think. I can raid without them i know most of the fight for most of the raids but no one is perfect.

Quick list of some of the characters i have raided on and my progression at its best:
Lvl 70 Dwarf Protection Warrior Manifesto-> Battle for Mount Hyjal
Lvl 80 Blood Elf Fire Mage Heyst-> Trial of the Crusader
Lvl 70 Tauren Resto Druid-> Pvp healed mostly, I did The Eye a few times in mostly PVP gear but i was a fill in.
The main Guild that i ran with in Wrath was The Spirits Within - Archimonde server with Heyst.
Mods i use are primarily- Deadly Boss Mods, Recount, Omen, AtlasLoot. I haven't been played for almost a year now so i don't know if there are any i would need or that are more useful for me as a tank. I play on looking around this week.
I don't know anyone in House Sole.
I want to join House Sole because i asked trade what a good guild on the server is for raiding. First to be mention was House Sole so i /who for house sole to see if anyone was on so maybe i could ask about the guild. Only one member was on, I believe was Iakhovas. I whispered him/her and asked if i could ask a few questions. They agreed and i asked if House Sole had multiple groups for raids and if one needed a tank. Their answer was yes to multiple groups and maybe in needing one, then directed me to apply.
My name is Steve, i am 21 and live in Pennsylvania, USA. I have played World of Warcraft off and on for about 7-8 years. I have played many characters over these years but sadly lost them all to hacking issues. I now have and authenticator and stopped going to public computer LANS to raid. which was the reason for the being hacked problem.
Other games i enjoy playing are Magic the Gathering, League of Legends, and RPGs such as Final Fantasy. I'm getting a new computer in a week or two so i can give specs for the computer later.
The druid i had was leveled on a Linked account and i ended up selling him to my sister who then got hacked. Manifesto and Heyst were on the same account, i was hacked and quit after that. Catalyst was coming out and my friends convinced me to start playing again so i leveled a Blood Elf Warrior Ultion (who is now Manni). I ended up having financial issues and most of my friends stopped playing from boredom so i didn't go back. Recently with Mists of Pandaria coming out my one friend who continued playing scroll of Rez'd me.
I have plenty of Raiding experience but i am rusty as far as tanking goes. I have max Mining and Blacksmithing working on the Sub- Profession. Looking for a Small Hole to fill in the less raid groups. if need be i can take a Main Slot, i have a flexible schedule.
And i would be a Platapus

Finally, House Sole has been around in some way/shape or form for over 10 years. What started in Neverwinter Nights made the move to Word of Warcraft at launch. Many of the officers have been around since the original formation at launch, and a large portion of them from the original guild back in NWN.
Loyalty and Honour (sorry, honor) are extremely important to us, and we aren't in this just for the purples. If you're just looking for a hardcore raiding guild, you're in the wrong place. We raid for fun, and if we get some dead bosses along the way, even better.
We DO review every application posted to the forums (and by "we" I mean our resident forum trolls), and if we like what we see (or don't), we'll let you know in a post here, and in-game. Just like in real life, the better your application, the better your chances of getting an invite, so keep that in mind.
Please don't make this application the first and last thing you post if you join the guild. We do post a lot of bullshit, and we encourage you to join us. In-between the bullshit posts are useful things... like raid times, openings, get-togethers, etc. You won't know if you don't get involved.

Every raid requires that you have AT LEAST the following:
- Ventrilo
- A functioning brain and independently-functioning fingers (mitten-hands are a no-no)
- Huh... guess that's it, really
These raids have varying schedules, currently:
- Raid 1 - Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday (full)
- Raid 2 - Thursday/Sunday (full)
- Raid 3 - Thursday/Monday (slots available for Healers and maybe a Tank)
- Raid 25 - Depends on real-life schedules (who knows!)
The only loot system in place at this time is the one I created. It's also the basis for the guild rules. It's called "Don't be a dick". The loot rules are easy to learn. All you have to do is ask yourself one question every time you're rolling on something:
- If I win this item, will everyone think I'm being a greedy dick?
If the answer to that question is "Yes", then you should probably not roll without at least discussing it with the raid, first.
The actual raiding environment is much like the guild environment - chill. There's minimal drama (and when there is, it's trivial shit), and no yelling. You remember that video way back when about the whole "Minus DKP" "Many whelps, left side" etc. etc? Yeah. That doesn't happen (very often, at least).
All we really ask is that you put in at least minimal research into any new fights you're encountering as well as your class's best spec and rotation.
Our respect and trust is mutual. As long as you follow these simple rules, and don't violate or abuse our trust, you'll get along just fine.
