Since the patch is coming out tomorrow, I figured now would be a good time to toot our own horn a bit. In typical House Sole fashion, we waited until the very last minute to accomplish some pretty awesome stuff.

Raid 1 managed to finish off Heroic Will of the Emperor on Sunday night, one of the very last raid nights possible. Through tough work scheduled and several replacements, they managed to earn a pretty nice title and moved us up to #3 overall on the server; solidifying our place as the #1 Alliance guild here.

After getting to a bit of a late start, Raid 2 managed to finally clear all Normal modes, getting Sha last week and Empress on one of our last attempts of the night this past Thursday. We even had Mad spec Disc for the first time since BC to finally get her done. Special thanks to everyone who stepped up over the past couple weeks to help up get this finished (particularly Eskarina, Takeit, Greanie and Dram)

Raid 3 started off even later than we did, going through a few personnel changes to finally get a solid raid group going. They managed to get through all of MSV and progress into both HoF and ToES before this final week of raids. I'm sure you guys will keep it going through Throne of Thunder and give the rest of us a run for our money.

We also picked up a bunch of key peeps as of late, with some solid new apps and all the folks from DL. Welcome aboard guys and girls, we're glad to have you all here. I believe Ace is getting a 4th raid group together, so be on the lookout for another solid raid.

That's not to mention the various personal achievements, awesome Battle Pet teams and various rare mount acquisitions accrued by both raiders and casual guild members alike. Looking forward to another great Patch for House Sole.

As some of you likely noticed, earlier today the site appears to have been compromised. I'm still getting to the bottom of things, but it seems to only have been a simple find and replace, rather than a "fuck all our shit up".

So, bright side, things are back to normal. No data has been lost and there's no indication that your personal information has been obtained (outside of what you made publicly available). Further, all passwords are securely hashed, so there's no reason to be overly concerned.

On the not so bright side, I've got to try getting to the bottom of what happened. I have my suspicions, and I've taken care of what may have been the source... but I've been putting off cleaning things up around here until I have a day or two free to dedicate to it... but it appears that will be starting sooner than I expected.

Anyways... everything has been re-uploaded from one of my local backups, and additional precautionary measures have been implemented.

Carry on, but let me know if you have any other questions/concerns and I'll do my best to address them.


EDIT: I found the source. Turns out, it's all my fault. Fuck. Everything should be clean now, but I'm going to keep an eye on things for the next few days to make sure it stays that way.

It has been a couple of weeks now since we began the ramp up to a new era of House Sole. For some of you, you have been with us since the beginning...as Zen reminded me today in a recruiting post, its been 7-years. I figure I must have broken a mirror about then because my bad luck in this game still mocks me daily...

Yes, in case you haven't heard - Kimma got a a [item]Bindings of the Windseeker[/item] today and had invited me to come along...I declined in favor of chasing Cloud Serpent dailies...the new story of most of our lives.

If it wasn't for the old-timers, I often wonder if I would still be playing in this alternate reality. I appreciate your dedication, persistance, and arrogance every day. For the rest of you, if you have joined along the way - an expansion or two ago, are returning to get a peek at Kung Fu Panda, or a recent addtion to our rag tag army - your diversity, commitment and enthusiasm is what makes House Sole great.

As usual, I was late to 90 and have missed the 1st week of raiding. (*Hey, old guys need more sleep - all I can say...) Congrats tho to our 1st wave of raiders, accomplishing 4/6 in week 1 with a random group of 90s - paving the way for our 2-3 raids that will officially start in the coming weeks. No doubt, we are poised to again be on the front end of Azgalor raiding - as dead as the server is, it works for us...it could be worse.

The launch of MoP was a success - hanging our hat on a realm 1st cooking...yes, I said "cooking."

If you are visiting for the 1st time, welcome! You will soon be introduced to the best all-around group of gamers you've seen. We aren't the best players (we stand in fire and wipe terribly), we aren't the worst - we just work and have a good time, doing it with a something for everyone attitude. Not saying we are perfect or without drama, but we have fun and get the job done. I encourage you to apply if interested - just beware of our forumn application trolls - take your app seriously, because we do.

I know it's been a while since I've last posted anything of significance. But since Canada Post pulled a UPS on me (knock very lightly on the door, ignore doorbell), I won't have my Diablo 3 CE until tomorrow. Meaning I have all night to do shit.

First things first. Nobody's asked for it, but I'll throw it out there anyways. If you want to change your forum name, send me a PM with your desired name. I will update it when I have a chance tonight. You will be prompted to login to the forums again, but that's just to set the new cookie.

Secondly, I'm going to re-organize the forums tonight. Tomorrow, things will be much more condensed but better organized (I hope!).

What's going away?
Any section that hasn't been touched since December 31, 2011.
This means the following sections will be disapearing:
* Auction House
* General Archives
* Webstats
* Roles (was a stupid idea in the first place)
* Possibly class-specific section
* All of "Not Quite WOW" (some exceptions apply)
* BC and Cataclysm archives

What's changing?
* General section is being condensed to: News, Applications, Taverns, Lore (because fuck RP, amirite?)
* The "Raiding" section is being changed to "WOW" - PvP, UI, AH, DKP, Signups, Roles (maybe)
* "Not Quite WOW" is changing to "Everything Else" - Diablo 3 (with subs), SWTOR (anyone still playing?), Starcraft, Other

No posts are being deleted, they're simply being moved and hidden so that only the chosen ones (me and Orion, basically) can see them.

In the somewhat near future, there are plans to...
* Fix the wowhead tooltips
* New themes/templates (MoP-based, HS Classic)
* Other new and exciting things

These have been put to the back-burner due to my fucked up schedule (5pm to 1am, wot) and not having free time while at work to tinker. If there's anything you guys want to see updated, improved, fixed, let me know.

Well - we finally did something that is noteworthy this expansion - took us long enough .
